Agreement to Terms

By using this website or engaging Roseville Trust & Estate Planning for document preparation services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

About Our Services

Roseville Trust & Estate Planning is operated by a registered California Legal Document Assistant (LDA). Madison Kopta is a Legal Document Assistant, not a lawyer. LDA Registration #26-006, Placer County, California.

What an LDA Can and Cannot Do

As authorized under California Business and Professions Code §6400 et seq., a registered Legal Document Assistant may:

  • Prepare legal documents at your specific direction
  • Provide general factual information about legal procedures
  • Furnish published legal information
  • File and serve documents on your behalf

A Legal Document Assistant may not:

  • Provide legal advice
  • Recommend specific legal strategies
  • Tell you what decisions to make
  • Represent you in court

If you require legal advice or representation, we recommend consulting a licensed California attorney.

Free Consultation

We offer a free initial consultation of approximately 15 minutes. This consultation is for fact-gathering and scope discussion only; no legal advice is provided.

Service Fees & Payment

Service fees are quoted in advance and collected at the planning appointment. Government filing and recording fees (such as Placer County Recorder fees and California Secretary of State filing fees) are separate from our service fees where applicable.

Refunds

Once document preparation has commenced, fees are non-refundable. If you wish to discontinue services before preparation begins, a refund of any fees paid (less any costs already incurred on your behalf) will be issued.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Making all decisions regarding the structure and content of your documents
  • Reviewing all documents carefully before signing
  • Keeping us informed of changes that affect your documents
  • Properly funding your trust by retitling assets as discussed
